How Serious are we taking the Word?

Its been a very long time since I have done any blogging but by my wife's persistence I decided it would be good to start again.

So my first thought has been a conviction of mine lately and it has to do with ministers in the church aligning themselves with false leaders and endorsing their doctrine.

Regardless of what anybody thinks, the Word of God is always in question. Its always been a debate as to what matter most and what it really says. Its been a controversy as to how serious it is to someones life or is it some book that has some good principles.

The fact of the matter it is the Holy Living Word of God. God meant for every Word to be in there and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit how He lead men to write this truth. That being said our view of Scripture and how we honor it is going to determine our decisions-is it not?

If a known Pastor who has been known to teach good truth and to have a ministry that has been growing in abundance, decides to team up with another teacher although they allow certain principles of the bible to be overlooked----is that OK? I bring this up because we have too look at it as if a leader in the church is allowing someone to speak in their pulpit but they don't allow the Whole word of God to be followed, what does that do? What does that do to a new believer who sees and hears that person and takes on their theology, and then they disciple someone? What  is the effect?

Their idea would be---"well if this is overlooked, so can this be", and a ripple effect can occur.

I mean look at so many so called teachers of the Word of God and some of them are teaching complete heresy, from telling their congregation to not open the Word of God but just listen to them all the way to a deceiver who has their congregation eating grass. Just because someone is dynamic and can attract crowds doesn't mean they have a firm understanding of truth. Remember Jesus in John chapter 6, how the bible records that many of his disciples left because He was teaching some hard truth. Nobody wants to hear that anymore.

I don't want to continue to beat a dead horse but we do need to ask ourselves if we do honor Gods Word completely, am I listening to a teacher of the Word of God just because they are hip or cool or popular with the world or is it because they love Jesus and they want His truth to be known, for His Glory to be exalted.

God is good!!!
