"A Cry to Hear"

Psalm 52:1-9

Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man?
The goodness of God endures continually.
 Your tongue devises destruction,
Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
You love evil more than good,
Lying rather than speaking righteousness. Selah
You love all devouring words,
You deceitful tongue.
God shall likewise destroy you forever;
He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place,
And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah
The righteous also shall see and fear,
And shall laugh at him, saying,
“Here is the man who did not make God his strength,
But trusted in the abundance of his riches,
And strengthened himself in his wickedness.”
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;
I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.
I will praise You forever,
Because You have done it;
And in the presence of Your saints
I will wait on Your name, for it is good.

   Its hard enough waiting anything but what the Psalmist is conveying here is that there is a blessing beyond words that await those who wait on Him...because it is good.

The plea for the sinner is to turn from his way that cry is evident, all that they chase comes to destruction there is no good in the future for them; but still people turn from the goodness of God to chase empty promises. To chase what they believe will give them a joy that only comes from God. People who trust in the abundance of what they have will never see what true goodness really is.

The lies from the enemy is futile and it leads to destruction, today if you will hear His voice,  today if would answer His calling and choosing of you and respond with a willing heart. All to often I hear people say or I see posts that are made about how their prayers go out to someone for a particular reason, but all in all they don't love God they don't even know God and they have a warped view of who He is; because they have a God who works with in their terms, not according to what the scripture says about Him.

Do they not know that the Word says?

Are there people who will tell them with a broken heart?

He does not listen to the prayers of the wicked, He does not hear the prayers of those that choose a sinful life rather than a surrendered life to His Son.

"Consider your ways", was the words Habakkuk told the people who were so worried about what they had instead of who God was....."Consider your ways people", our God is a loving merciful God who wants us to understand the richness of His glory, but if we are so consumed with everything else we will never see what He wants to offer.
